Privacy
Privacy notice
BladerKit is designed to work without collecting data about the people who use it. This page describes the few processing activities involving personal data that are still necessary: which data, for what purpose, on what legal basis and for how long.
This is a translation of the Italian notice, which prevails in case of doubt.
In short
- No account. We don't ask for your name, email or password.
- Your content stays on your device. Bladers' names, photos, combos and decks are saved only in your browser and are not sent to us.
- No cookies. Neither for profiling nor for statistics: that's why no banner is needed.
- Anonymous statistics. Visits are counted in aggregate form, without identifying who visits the site.
- Reports kept for 12 months at most. Emails we receive are deleted once the problem is solved, and in any case within 12 months.
- No advertising. We don't sell or share data and we don't carry out any profiling.
Data controller
The data controller is Giuseppe Falso, who runs BladerKit personally and on a non-profit basis. For any request about your personal data you can write to report.beystudio@gmail.com, the same address used for reports.
This notice applies to the site bladerkit.it and to the app installed from the site. It also applies to the previous address bey-studio.vercel.app, which remains active only to allow tournaments to be transferred.
Data stored on your device
What you create is saved in the browser you are using, through its local storage systems (IndexedDB and localStorage). In particular:
- tournaments, decks, club profile, photos and uploaded images;
- a few preferences, such as the last tournament opened, the news already read and the chosen language;
- a copy of the site, which allows it to be used without a connection (service worker).
This data is not sent to us: we cannot see, copy or recover it. It serves only to provide the service you asked for, so it does not require your consent (art. 122 of the Italian Privacy Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003). You can delete it at any time from your browser settings; bear in mind that deleting it also deletes your tournaments, so it's advisable to make a Full backup from Events first.
Uploaded photos are reduced to the size needed. Photos attached to a judging tip are also re-encoded, removing metadata such as the location where they were taken.
Links for sharing a theme or a deck contain the data after the # symbol. The browser never sends that part of the address to the server, not even when the link is opened: the data is visible only to whoever receives the link.
Data sent to servers
Hosting the site
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc., the hosting provider. For every page opened, the browser sends a request containing the IP address, the browser type and the page requested. Vercel uses this data to deliver the site and protect it from abuse and attacks, and keeps it in technical logs for the limited period set by its own terms.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in making the site available and secure (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Visit statistics
Only on bladerkit.it we use Vercel Web Analytics, to know how many people use BladerKit and which sections are used most. For each page visited, the following is recorded:
- the page address, excluding the part after the # (the one in shared links);
- the referring site, if any;
- approximate country, region and city, derived from the IP address;
- operating system, browser and device type (phone, tablet, computer);
- date and time.
The service uses no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To avoid counting the same visit more than once on the same day, it generates an anonymous code from the request, which is deleted after 24 hours. The IP address is not kept in the statistics and we only look at aggregated data: it is not possible to trace your identity or follow your browsing on other sites. The statistics have no access to the content of your tournaments.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in improving the site with anonymous, minimal data (art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You can object at any time by blocking the statistics script with a privacy extension or an ad blocker: the site keeps working normally.
Links to other sites
Links to Instagram, Gear Sports and the Beyblade Wiki open only if you select them; their own privacy notices apply on those sites. The site does not embed external content: fonts, icons and part images are served from our own domain, so no third-party service receives information about your use of BladerKit.
Reports and suggestions
Reports and emails
The Report a problem feature prepares an email to report.beystudio@gmail.com, which is sent by your email app only if you confirm it. We receive your email address, the text of the message and some technical details that you can read before sending: app version, browser, open section, language and the latest errors logged. The email never contains names, photos or combos from your tournaments.
Legal basis: replying to your request and fixing the problem reported (art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). Retention: until the problem is solved, and in any case no longer than 12 months.
Community suggestions
You can suggest a judging tip, also with photos of the parts, or a colour theme. Accepted suggestions are published on the site and in its source code, which is public on GitHub, with the nickname you gave as credit.
Legal basis: your consent, given by sending the suggestion (art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time by writing to report.beystudio@gmail.com: the content will be removed from the next version of the site. Please frame only the parts and don't include faces, real names or other personal data in photos and texts.
Recipients and transfers
- Vercel Inc. (hosting and statistics), which processes data on our behalf as a data processor: Vercel's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- Google, provider of the report.beystudio@gmail.com mailbox (Gmail): Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
- GitHub, which hosts the source code, limited to published community suggestions.
These companies are based in the United States. Data transfers are protected by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, covered by the European Commission's adequacy decision of 10 July 2023, and by the standard contractual clauses provided for by the GDPR. Data is not sold or disclosed to anyone else.
Minors
The Beyblade X community includes many minors. This is another reason why BladerKit has no accounts, uses no cookies and carries out no profiling: using the site doesn't require providing any data.
If you are under 14, before writing to us or sending a suggestion you must ask permission from a parent or whoever has parental responsibility (art. 2-quinquies of the Italian Privacy Code). If we receive data from a child under 14 without this consent, we delete it.
Anyone publishing graphics with bladers' photos must obtain their consent and, for minors, their parents' consent. Whoever publishes is responsible for the publication: photos are never sent to us.
Your rights
At any time you can ask for access to the data concerning you, its rectification, erasure or the restriction of processing, object to processing and receive the data in a readable format (arts. 15–22 GDPR). Write to report.beystudio@gmail.com: the reply comes within one month and is free of charge.
The data saved on your device is under your control: you can export it with the backup and delete it from the browser without contacting us.
If you believe the processing of your data breaches the law, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante) (opens in a new tab) or with the supervisory authority of the country where you live.
Changes to this notice
If the way data is processed changes, we update this page and the date shown below. Significant changes are also announced in the News section.
