Tutorial

How to use BladerKit

From the club profile to the published graphic, one path at a time. Inside the app there's also the Guide, in the ☰ menu on every page.

First of all: the club profile

You set it up once and it applies to all your tournaments. It's optional: graphics work without it too.

  1. Open the editor and tap Club in the top bar.
  2. In Club profile type the club name and the league or organisation, then upload the Club logo.
  3. Optional: add the Club members, used in the club's social images.
  4. In Parts choose your preferred catalogue and whether to use Takara Tomy or Hasbro names.

Tip The logo is reused automatically: next to the event logo on the cover, at the top of the poster and as the cards' watermark.

Results cards

A cover, a card for every placement and, if you like, Swiss King or Queen, MVP and the full standings.

  1. In the editor choose 🏆 Results.
  2. In Format and extra cards choose how many placements (from Top 4 to Top 64), the Swiss and MVP cards, and the format: 4:5 post or 9:16 Story.
  3. In Tournament details type the name, date, players and subtitle: they apply to every card.
  4. Move between cards with the top bar or with Previous and Next under the preview. For each card fill in Player (name, photo, badges) and Deck (the 3 combos, with parts from the catalogue).
  5. If a photo is badly framed, Photo framing moves it and zooms it in or out on that card only. If the name covers the face, move it to the top or the middle.
  6. Tap Download card for the open card. For all of them at once: on a phone All cards, on a computer All (ZIP).

Tip If the deck is already saved in Deck card on this device, Take the combos from one of your decks copies the combos for you.

The tournament poster

A single graphic to announce the tournament. Enter the details: the app handles the layout and the text size.

  1. In the editor choose 📣 Poster.
  2. In Format and data choose the proportions and the prizes. If you already have the details in a file, download the .txt or .csv template, fill it in and import it.
  3. In Header and hero type the title and choose the main image, as a block or as the background.
  4. Fill in Prizes, Logistics (venue, address, date, times, fee) and, if needed, the Extra notes.
  5. In Blocks set the order with ▲ and ▼, hide what you don't need and put blocks in a column (L and R) or full width (Row).
  6. Tap Download poster.

Tip If Too much content appears, turn off some blocks, shorten the text or switch to the taller Story format.

Your deck card

Your deck in one graphic for social media, with a check for duplicate parts.

  1. Open Deck card from the app's ☰ menu.
  2. In Deck and blader type the deck name and your nickname. The top line is free text, for example "Top 4 · Regional".
  3. In Photo upload the photo and choose where the deck name and blader go.
  4. In The 3 combos pick the parts from the catalogue: BladerKit checks that every part is used only once.
  5. Tap Download card. With Deck link you send names and combos to a teammate, without the photo.

Tip The deck check is a helper: at the Bey Check the judge decides, following your tournament's rules.

Posting on Instagram

Graphics come out at the right size already: 1080×1350 for the post, 1080×1920 for the Story.

  1. After Download card or Download poster, on a phone a panel appears with Share and Download.
  2. Share opens Instagram or WhatsApp directly, or Save Image to your gallery.
  3. For a carousel tap All cards and then Share all: with Save Images they all go to your camera roll, or choose Instagram. The cards are already in placement order; beyond 20 they're shared in groups.

Tip If the download doesn't start and you opened BladerKit from Instagram or WhatsApp, you're in their in-app browser: from the ⋯ menu choose Open in Safari or Open in Chrome.

Saving and moving tournaments

There's no "save" button: everything saves by itself, in the browser of the device you're using.

  1. Events, in the editor's top bar, collects all your tournaments: open them, duplicate them or create a New tournament.
  2. To hand a tournament to another organiser tap Export this tournament: whoever receives the file opens it with Import file.
  3. To change phone or keep a safety copy, tap Full backup: all your tournaments and decks in a single file.

Tip If you clear the site's data or use private browsing, tournaments without a backup are lost: it's worth making one regularly.
